In the early days the company was based in Carlisle and directed on a day to day basis by Principal Tony Phillipson, an IFA, with over 25 years experience in the financial services industry mainly in the North East.
Darren Turnbull, a Certified Financial Planner, joined the company in January 2002 and was appointed a director in January 2005. Having built a reputation for giving sound financial advice within the locality, Tony and Darren continue to develop and drive the company forward.
In July 2008, Nigel Shackleton was appointed a director of the company and provides the technical expertise and paraplanning skills to enalbe the company to handle more complex financial planning cases. He is highly qualified, especially in the fields of pensions, trusts and tax planning.
Financial Concepts have also established a major presence in West Cumbria through the strategic partnerships formed with other Professional Advisers in the region. Following the takeover of the clients of Hannah and Lawton Insurance Brokers we have also welcomed Rod Willett on board who has a great deal of experience and continues to build the companies reputation.
In order to cope with the increasing demand for top quality mortgage advice, Financial Concepts took the unprecedented step of appointing a full time mortgage specialist with over twenty years experience in Alison Dixon during May 2006.
In June 2008, to aid the companies expansion and to enhance the client’s experience of meeting in our offices, we moved to a high quality and newly refurbished office suite in Eden House on the Crescent in Carlisle. These offices were sympathetically refurbished utilising the original features of the building, while also bringing a modern and contemporary feel to the interior.
With offices now both in Carlisle and Whitehaven and a growing team of highly qualified and experienced staff, Financial Concepts (Carlisle) Ltd are looking forward to the future and continuing to provide our clients with Financial Planning of the highest quality.
