Alison Dixon, Mortgage Specialist

Alison was born and brought up in Workington and has been advising and arranging mortgages for clients for over 25 years.

After leaving school in 1980, she worked for a number of building societies, including the Northern Rock, the West Cumbria and the Newcastle Building Society, all in Workington. On joining the Newcastle in 1986, she was given the opportunity to start advising customers on mortgages. Alison worked for the Newcastle for six years, during which time she helped establish the society’s first overseas branch in Gibraltar.

On her return, she moved to the Prudential Assurance Co in Newcastle as a financial consultant, advising clients on all aspects of financial planning.

After taking a short career break, to have her son Joseph, she returned to financial services in 1995 as a mortgage advisor with Tiffen & Co Estate Agents. She has worked in all three of Tiffen & Co’s West Cumbria offices, Workington, Whitehaven and Cockermouth but is best known in Workington where she has been for the last six years.

Having just recently joined Financial Concepts as its mortgage specialist, Alison brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business.

Having the facility to search the market place for mortgages, re-mortgages and mortgage related insurance, she can offer clients the very best mortgage packages suited to their needs.

She covers both the Carlisle and West Cumbria areas and is able to offer consultations, both office bases and home visits, whichever is most convenient.
