Darren Turnbull has a wealth of experience in the financial planning industry and was appointed a Director on the 1st of January 2005. He previously worked as an independent financial adviser for TIFS for 3 years and before that he worked for six years in banking with the Royal Bank of Scotland and then as a mortgage consultant with the Natwest Bank and Tiffen and Co.
Highly experienced in all areas of financial planning he holds the Advanced Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Planning (CEMap), as well as the Certificate in Lifetime Mortgages ensuring that clients get the best possible advice this very complex area.
He is responsible for the day to day running of the company including staff, operations, compliance and client satisfaction as well as dealing with the long term strategy of the company. He is keen to see the company expand and enhance its reputation locally and further afield and continue to build relationships with both professional connections and clients alike.
He is also a partner in a Buy to Let property portfolio, which allows him to gain an insight into the pitfalls and problems evident in this field and to make clients aware of these to help them avoid the same mistakes.
Outside of the office his interests include football, horseracing, golf and shooting.
